I don’t think anybody started the season expecting the Antonelli dominance that we’ve seen. We knew he was good enough to win races, but the consistency he has shown and the maturity when times have got tough have been impressive from the teenager. The question is can he do what his hero Lewis Hamilton did and become world champion in only his second season of F1?

George Russell

Winning the opening round of 2026 has certainly been the highlight in George’s troubled first half of the season. Reliability has been frustrating, but getting beaten by your younger, less experienced team mate hurts. For so long George has been “the next superstar”. He still might be, but he will need to close the 50 point deficit to his team mate.
